AMD's acquisition of DPU startup Pensando completes the last piece of the data center puzzle
AMD, which bought Xilinx for $50 billion, made another surprise move, announcing a $1.9 billion acquisition of cloud startup Pensando. The acquisition symbolizes AMD's official entry into the DPU field, completing the last piece of the puzzle covering CPU, GPU, FPGA and DPU.
